THE TEAM
Armando Ribeiro
Born in 1968, diver since 1999.
​
Since the beginning of 2004 he dedicated himself to projects and expeditions of deep wreck diving, both in Portugal and abroad.
​
In Portugal he became known for the discovery of the Greek freighter Agios Nikolaos, sunk off Peniche and for the location of the wreckage of the Swiss airplane that crashed in 1977 on the south coast of Madeira.
Abroad has been part of numerous expeditions, including to emblematic wrecks such as the Andreia Doria, the Benghazi (the wreck of the crystals), wrecks of the Battle of Jutland, the Erich Geise, and the Britannic, among
many others.
In parallel, at these extreme depths, he develops his underwater photography and video activity, capturing dramatic and unique images of submerged pieces of history.
He has already won several national and international awards, including the Silver Medal at the X World Championship of Underwater Photography, in the Macro category. He has also been for several times the national vice-championship on “all-round” and has won several national titles in individual categories in the Underwater Photography championships.

He also attended several national and international conferences as a speaker.
