Almonda 285: geological discovery of the year in Portugal

An underwater exploration recently uncovered that the Almonda cave is the deepest in the country. Diver Armando Ribeiro has been the prominent figure in this project, which engaged dozens of speleologists and reached a depth of 285 meters.
